The newest installment from Kelley Armstrong really delivers. Jaime Vegas is in Hollywood to film a TV special and runs into a little trouble along the way. We see cameos from all our favorite characters like Paige, Lucas, Savannah, Elena and Clay, but the story centers on Jaime and Jeremy Danver's relationship. As the Alpha of the North American werewolf pack, Jeremy struggles with whether he wants to start a relationship with the clearly smitten Jaime. I love the irony that Jaime it working with fake mediums on a TV show only to discover really ghosts and a real mystery. Armstrong takes Jaime rom a damsel in distress to a force to be reckoned with. I like that Jaime comes out of this novel stronger and more self assured. The book was fast paced and a great read. Armstrong also delivers the steam factor without detracting from the action and a great story. Armstrong is my favorite writer of the paranormal chick-lit genre. I recommend starting with Bitten if this is your first time.

Absolutely loved the two Kiernan stories in here - the Corinthan storylines in general never fail to creep me WAY the hell out while simultaneously not letting me put the book down, and Matthew... always awesome to learn more about him. I love the longer stories in this and Sandman better than the shorter ones, on the whole. I think it's mostly because I'm still kind of a beginning graphic novel reader, and the short (one-issue-ish) stories still just feel SO short to me! Good stuff overall, and definitely recommended for anyone who loves great dark storytelling, and/or has finished Sandman and isn't done living in the dreaming. I've also found that the original comics aren't as hard to find as I'd thought (eBay ftw!) and so I'm working on collecting some of those, cause I want more!
